Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
to all of my 5th grade families.
I hope everyone gets some much needed time to relax and enjoy the season. Be safe if you are traveling, and I look forward to seeing you next year refreshed and ready to hit the ground running.
When we return in January, we will quickly wrap up Measurement/Geometry and test those skills before moving onto Fractions, Prime and Composite Numbers, some Probability and Statistical concepts involving data collection, and Mean/Median/Mode/Range.
Homework: One last review sheet before break. Number and neatly show all work on the back.
Homework: Area worksheet. Work neatly on back(not front). Draw/label figures if not given.
Remember the formula! A = L x W (Area = Lenth x Width).
Must answer in square units to get full credit for answers!
Math benchmark is next Monday, 12-15-14. Take notebook home over weekend and review old content from earlier in the year or any thing that you do not feel confident about.
Homework: Perimeter worksheet. Please refer to completed notebook examples and remember to show all work.
Homework: Find missing angle on triangles/quadrilaterals.
Number and neatly show work on back or on seperate lined paper.
Not on front.
Homework: Refer to quadrilateral notes to complete the “Classify Quadrilateral” worksheet.
Remember! Some must be classified in more than one way.
